18 siswa SMA Unggul Del menjadi penerima terbanyak Beasiswa Indonesia Maju (BIM) 4. Penerima terbanyak kedua di tempati oleh SMA Pradita Dirgantara dengan 15 siswa penerima beasiswa.
Mengutip dari laman resmi kemendiktisaintek,
Beasiswa Indonesia Maju (BIM) adalah program beasiswa yang diberikan kepada
peserta didik/lulusan yang berprestasi di bidang akademik dan non-akademik.
Beasiswa ini mencakup beasiswa bergelar dan
non-gelar. Dua jenis beasiswa ini memungkinkan peserta untuk melanjutkan studi
S1 dan S2 di dalam atau ke luar negeri, juga mempersiapkan diri untuk
melanjutkan S1 ke luar negeri.
Banyaknya kuota penerima beasiswa dari SMA
Unggul Del menimbulkan berbagai asumsi terkait kepemilikan SMA Unggul Del oleh Luhut
Binsar Pandjaitan, yang juga menjabat sebagai Ketua Dewan Ekonomi Nasional. Wakil
Menteri Pendidikan, Tinggi, Sains dan Teknologi (Wamendiktisaintek) Stella
Christie punya pendapat lain mengenai asumsi tersebut.
"Tidak ada hubungan dengan status
kepemilikan. Kami di Kemendiktisaintek melakukan kebijakan berdasarkan
data," Kata Stella, Sabtu (26/4/2025), dilansir dari Tempo.
Stella mengatakan bahwa Kemendiktisaitek
mengambil keputusan tersebut berdasarkan penilaian 60 persen prestasi dan 40
persen dari sisi kondisi ekonomi.
Stella menjelaskan bahwa dalam proses
seleksi penerimaan beasiswa, SMA Unggul Del mengirimkan peserta terbanyak,
dengan persentase 7.83 persen, diikuti dengan SMA Pradita Dirgantara dengan 7.07
persen. Hal ini membuat Stella merasa wajar ketika SMA Unggul Del menjadi
penerima BIM 4 terbanyak.
"Dengan baseline tersebut, bukanlah
anomali jika SMA yang paling banyak mengirim siswa di BIM 4 persiapan dan
mendaftar di gelombang 1 adalah juga SMA yang paling banyak lolos," ungkap
Stella.
Ia menambahkan, presentase antara jumlah
siswa yang lolos dan yang mendaftar dari SMA Unggul Del hanya 54,8 persen. Persentase
ini tidak jauh berbeda dengan sekolah lainnya, yakni SMA Pradita Dirgantara
sebanyak 53.6 persen, SMAN Thamrin 50 persen, dan SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar 50
persen.
